Hi, I'm Stephanie

Self-Portrait_edited_edited.jpg

As an army veteran, artist, dancer, and writer; photography is also a passion, macro photography to be more specific. Also, on that list of favorites is nature. I grew up on a Christmas tree farm so spending time outside was a unique way for me to see the world through many different lenses.

When I take photographs, I like to capture the energy of the moment while using my creative side to think outside the box to create art. I enjoy working with clients from all different backgrounds. I always strive to be caring and compassionate, just like my mentor, J. I find that this adds a unique aspect to my art because I inject emotion into photographs that may otherwise not have a story to tell. J always taught me to embrace my skill at photography and to chase after my dreams.

Because I grew up surrounded by Christmas trees, I planned a project to capture the essence of Christmas in a single photograph. I battled the elements for hours, taking pictures as the snow fell on to the needles of pine trees. When I returned to my office, I found that I was successful in my endeavor, and that picture ended up winning an award for Best Nature Picture at the NWTC Digital Arts Festival.

When you work with me as my client, I find that the best way for us to create art is to meet face to face and get to know each other. This allows us to build a bond that we will be able to share through the photographs that we create together.

I also enjoy spending my free time with pets, volunteering to take pet portraits.

Get out there!
